SAC by the Numbers!

The lead-up to SAC 2021 was long-awaited and met with much uncertainty after our 2020 season was canceled due to Covid.  Like the rest of the world, our families and staff had to contend with a host of unknowns!

Now that we are on the ground in Cle Elum, WA, and SAC 2021 is successfully underway, we can tell you with certainty and a lot of excitement that SAC is REALLY HAPPENING this year!  And we are still pinching ourselves!  We wanted to share the excitement with you by providing a few SAC 2021 stats…

  • 104 is the number of SAC Campers we have at camp this year!
  • Nine (9) – is the number of United States represented by our campers!  They are: Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, Maryland, New York, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
  • We have campers that joined us from one (1) other country, besides the US.  That country is Israel!
  • A little over half, (52%) of our campers hail from the State of Washington.  The other 48% have come from the other United States and Israel.
  • 44 is the number of staff members we have!
  • Our staff members have joined us from eight (8) different United States plus two (2) other countries (Canada and Israel).
  • 109 is the temperature in Fahrenheit that the temperature crept up to yesterday at SAC, (on the 7th day of camp).
  • Nine (9) is the number of birthdays we will be celebrating up at camp, (7 staff members and 2 campers).  In addition, we will be celebrating one (1) Bat Mitzvah!
  • HAPPY is the five (5) letter word that describes how we feel to be back at SAC!

Thank you for following our numbers and please stay tuned for upcoming articles about our camp and programming!

THIS is super – so proud of the whole team – staff, board and volunteers. That is the number 3 x even more impact. Jill – let’s see if 104 campers then that is at least 28 happy parents and 414 happy grandparents…your numbers are climbing.

      Hi Molly,
Yes – It’s starting to cool down to a normal hot instead of a sweltering hot.

This year’s SAC stats are phenomenal!!!
Congratulations to Beth, and all the other
staff whose vision and hard work made this
year such a success! As a camper from the
very first Sephardic camp at age 7 (3 days),
It gives me immense pleasure to see how
vital it remains today! Kudos to you all!!!
